Enjoy your trip to New York. Here is a possible topic for discusion. you can frame it as "a comment from one of my nutbar readers"....

You are informed that governments are interfereing directly in the stock markets by buying and selling stocks, options, and futures in great amounts to control movements. They are using digital currency created at will. Do you see a moral hazard in such actions? Do you agree that is the correct course to follow?

Actually there is much talk or speculation about buying coming in at the last moment the past few days to "counter" the selling pressure in the final moments. Personally I don't know either way. But I do doubt that any artifical buying will ultimately be able to stem the natural inclination of the market forces. Anyone or any goverment agency that tries to combat gravity will ultimately waste much and fail miserably.
